Aidi dogs, also known as Atlas dog, Chien d'Atlas, or Kabyle, are a rare-breed of Moroccan dogs.  Though they were once classified as Flock Guards (sheepdogs) they are no longer as they typically protect their owner(s) and their owners’ property.  Sometimes they can even detect snakes that might bite their owner.  They mostly live in the Atlas Mountains though some were introduced to France in 1992.

Aide dogs are normally between 20 and 24 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh about 55 pounds.  They have long hair except for at their face and ears.  They can range in color from black to white as well as fawn and reddish colors.  They have long tails and a mane at the neck.

In personality they are playful and easy-going.  As guardians they are aggressive and bold.
